Impact
Under Rose Gracie's leadership Fighting Foundation has rapidly made a profound impact on the combat sports community. In a short time, we have achieved key milestones, such as producing educational videos on CTE and concussions for athletic commissions, which have already begun shaping regulations. She has successfully lobbied for the creation of the first-ever fighters' committee within the ABC (Association of Boxing Commissions), giving fighters a formal voice in regulatory matters. Her partnership with the Association of Ringside Physicians has enabled us to create and distribute vital educational materials, including brain health posters, in gyms around the world.
Beyond education, she has ensured that fighters have access to essential resources, such as free treatment facilities and brain health testing equipment, which we've implemented in Brazil. She has worked tirelessly to advocate for better practices, including new weight-cutting sanctions and brain health testing using eye-tracking technology. Rose's commitment to fighters' well-being extends to providing union benefits, counseling services, and facilitating sponsorships. Through initiatives like the Gracie Concussion Challenge, she has inspired athletes to pledge their brains for CTE research, furthering our mission to protect and support fighters' health and long-term success. These accomplishments, driven by a shared passion for the sport and its athletes, underscore the foundations dedication to being a transformative force in combat sports.
